January 25: The Conversion of Saint Paul

The Conversion of Saint Paul is January 25. Join us at 8am for a Said Mass, at 9am for a Sung Mass with the junior choristers, or with the Saint Thomas Choir of Men and Boys at an 11am Festal Eucharist and 4pm Festal Evensong.

The Conversion of Saint Paul is recorded twice in the Acts of the Apostles, once to explain the event in the overal narrative (Acts 9:1-22) and then again, later, when Paul recounts the experience to King Agrippa (Acts 26:9-21). Because we follow the lectionary of the Prayer Book, we will hear the re-account at the morning services on January 25, and the initial account (Acts 9:1-22) at Festal Evensong.

The Conversion of Saint Paul (January 25) wraps up the Octave of Prayer for Christian Unity which began with the Confession of Saint Peter (January 18).
