Above: Pip and Jim seem to be inseparable. Not only are they forced to share a feast day, but (therefore) they were put side-by-side in the reredos by Goodhue. In the red outline above, Philip is on the left, James the Less on the right. James the Greater, by the way, is next to James the Less, one further to the right. In the reredos, therefore, the Greater is greater in stature and location. Poor James the Less; forever stuck with Pip to one side, and his greater on the other.
